Bharat Band for farmers, what will open and what will remain banned, know every detail

The United Kisan Morcha and many labor unions have now announced Bharat Bandh. This decision has been taken to increase the pressure on the farmers regarding the demand for guarantee on MSP. This will affect many states!

There is a war on the Haryana-Punjab border due to the farmers’ movement. Farmer agitators have set up camp here and are trying to reach Delhi. The same Haryana police are trying to stop them there. Today farmers have also started Rail Roko campaign in many places of Punjab. Not only this, now the United Kisan Morcha and many other unions have also called for Gramin Bharat Bandh on Friday. This decision was taken to increase pressure on farmers by demanding assurance on their MSP. In its appeal, the United Kisan Morcha also appealed to all other farmer organizations.

United Kisan Morcha leaders say the Bharat Bandh will begin at 6 am and will continue till 4 pm. Farmers say that during this period, rural transport, agricultural activities, work under MNREGA, private offices, village shops will remain closed. Apart from this, industrial activities will also be closed in rural areas. However, due to this, the rural Bharat Bandh will not be affected by the operation of ambulances, newspaper distribution, weddings, medical shops and the appearance of students for exams. They will be stopped!

Is this different from Delhi Chalo March?

Delhi Chalo March is the slogan of 50 farmers of Punjab! They want to guarantee that crops are purchased only from MSP! For this, the organizations went to Delhi but were stopped at the borders of Haryana and Punjab. The biggest gathering of these farmer agitators is happening at the Shambhu border! The third round of negotiations is currently underway between the government and farmers. If a consensus is reached between the farmers and the government in this meeting, they will return, otherwise the Delhi March may be announced again.

Apart from guarantee on MSP, what else do farmers want?

Farmer organizations have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding legal guarantee for procurement of crops at MSP. In addition, loans to farmers should be stopped! Up to 300 units of electricity should be given free of charge! A better crop insurance scheme should be developed and farmers should be given a pension of up to Rs 10,000 per month. The government says the MSP for 24 crops has already been almost doubled, but it cannot guarantee purchase of the entire crop. This will have a bad effect on the market!
